DEI Roundtable: International Day of Conscience Webinar
April 5 at 8:30 pm EST
No CEs provided for this webinar

Description: The International Day of Conscience is a global awareness day celebrated on April 5. It commemorates the significance of human conscience and was established by the United Nations General Assembly in 2019. The declaration emphasizes the need for creating conditions of stability, well-being, and peaceful relations based on respect for human rights and fundamental freedoms for all, without distinction based on race, sex, language, or religion.

This day serves as a reminder to promote peace, tolerance, inclusion, understanding, and solidarity globally. It encourages individuals, organizations, and communities to contribute to a culture of peace through education, awareness-raising activities, and fostering sustainable development.

Presenter Bio: Tracy LeGrow, CMHC MA student

Tracy L. LeGrow is the DEI Chair of the ICA. She is a master's level intern who will be graduating in May with her master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Grace College. She works for the Bowen Center in Warsaw, Indiana where she began as a Skills Coach and is now transitioning into a BHSP position. She has been accepted at Adler University in Chicago into their PhD program in Counselor Supervision and Education and will begin that degree program in September. She is interested in helping people work through trauma through Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy and often incorporates elements of sound therapy into her sessions. She loves hearing people's stories and believes everyone has a story worth telling. A common thread in Tracy's clinical work is identifying sources of joy - those things no matter how small that bring joy and help grow hope. She enjoys working with people of all ages and says that college students may be her favorite population because they are at a place where they are discovering their personal worldview and choosing how they want to impact the world around them.

This webinar is being offered for free for members and $25 for non-members. This live webinar will be recorded.

Session link will be located in the confirmation email.
